About Topel Photos
Topel Photos is a one man operation run by me, Matthew Topel. As someone who grew up hating having my own photo taken, I never thought that I would be taking pictures professionally. But now, one of my favorite things in life is being able to capture the little moments that make lifetime memories for family or senior photo shoots. I love working with all sorts of people, and like to keep sessions light, informal and relaxing. I would be honored to capture some amazing moments with you or your family, so please contact me to make an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
I offer family photos, senior portraits, and professional headshots tailored to your needs. If you want something not mentioned on this list please reach out to me through the contact button and I would be happy to talk about details.
How much does a session cost?
What does this price include?
Do you have a portfolio?
A typical family photo package includes a one hour photo session with multiple outdoor areas at the same location. After the session, I will edit and deliver between 50 and 100 digital photos that you can save, share, or print.
Yes! Some of my favorite photos are available in the "portfolio" tab on this website, but if you would like a more detailed look at what an individual client will receive, I would be happy to send you some more photos through email.
Pricing varies based on the session type and duration, but as a newer photographer I am charging quite a bit lower than the market rate for now. A one hour family or senior portrait session starts at just $100
How do I book a session?
Click the "Book Now" button at the top of this page, or navigate over to the "Booking" tab to look for available session dates
Can we order prints through you?
Of course! I use a 3rd party service to print the photos, and can deliver physical prints on regular photo paper, canvas, metal, or acrylic. I can even handle the framing or organize them into a custom album if you wish. All of these additional costs will be clearly communicated before any order is placed.
Do you take photos on a digital camera or use film?
Both! Digital cameras often allow me to capture moments quickly and give lots of latitude in editing later, so I use these most often on a given session. However, there is something timeless and almost magical about using real analog film for family photos. Check out the "film" page on this website for more information about how and why I use film cameras on most sessions.
